             abstract = "The objective of this work was to apply supervised classification 
                         in ASTER image for determination of use of the soil classes in the 
                         Vi{\c{c}}osa, MG. The results demonstrate that the municipal 
                         district of Vi{\c{c}}osa presents about 50% of the area covered 
                         with pastures, being 50% of these degraded. However, the analysis 
                         of the product of the classification showed that the files of 
                         signatures were not representative of all of the classes. The 
                         forest class was better classified while soils and urban area 
                         presented great similarity.",
